Dr. Hui Liu
photoPeking University's People's Hospital Neurology Head Doctor/Professor

Dr. Hui Liu is Peking University's People's Hospital Neurology Professor. In the 1960s she graduated from Peking University's Medical School (formally called the Beijing University of Medicine); since graduating she has been involved with clinical practice, teaching, and research. Dr. Liu comes from a family of many Chinese traditional medicine doctors; her father had deep academic involvement in the field of Traditional Chinese Internal Medicine. Because of this background Dr. Liu had a deep interest in Chinese medicine and general medicine from a young age. Because of her strong training in neuropathy, her adept ability at meticulous analysis, and her background in Chinese medical treatments, Dr. Liu has her own distinct medical methods. She is very involved with headache research; following her father's 30-plus years of experience in traditional Chinese clinical treatment, a background in Western medicine, rigorous research on modern medical theory and medical prescriptions, and almost 20 years of clinical practice and observation, Dr. Liu has developed a pure and natural Chinese medicine for the treatment of headaches. This medicine can treat various kinds of headaches, especially nervous headaches, post-skull trauma headaches, vein and artery-caused headaches, etc. Within 2 to 15 minutes, headache symptoms will lighten or completely be alleviated after inhaling only 100 mg of the powdered medicine through each nostril. Dr. Liu has personally given this treatment to both domestic and international patients, with dramatic results. In addition, Dr. Liu is an expert in nausea, slow and fast brain artery diseases, and the diagnoses of common and rare internal neurological diseases. In treating diseases she has her own unique reasoning skills; she never uses supplementary tests first (such as X-ray) or relies on the diagnoses of previous doctors. Rather, she uses her attention to detail as patients talk about their ailments to understand their medical history, then gives them a full body examination before finally providing a specific diagnosis and further instructional care. Through her people-oriented diagnostic care, Dr. Liu is able to detect various organic disorders quickly and accurately. Furthermore, she is able to promptly provide proper medications and treatment for a favorable healing process.
